Hi DAVE MANNE,

Are you or do you know someone who is aged 18-21, lives in the London area and interested in getting into the media?

You might not know it but you've got the ideas that the BBC need. Ever thought how you could get them on the radio? Here's your chance to go and experience working with one of BBC radio news teams. BBC are committed to reporting the news that affects the widest range of people and so you will need to demonstrate an understanding of and a keen interest in diverse communities.

They'll help you with your expenses and give you the training and support you need to make news into sound radio.

If you are 18-21 and live in the London area and you want to apply write to Soundradio, Room LG605, BBC Television Centre, Wood Lane, London W12 7 RJ.

In applying you should write about yourself and write a short news story (no more than 100 words) about a recent event that interests you. Remember to include your contact details.

Please apply no later than August 14th 2001.

Write to Soundradio, Room LG605, BBC Television Centre, Wood Lane, London W12 7 RJ.
