Boy Yanks & Uncle Suntou,

Keep up the good spirit always!

I truly understand the frustration over his alleged torture to death. I must tell you that it was "rife" enough for any one to make a news article out of it. See the problem we have has a lot to do with our attitudes of "silence" and “unwillingness” to talk to the press. Personally, I think that a responsible Gov't will update citizens on such arbitrary disappearances. While two wrongs cannot make a right, I am a firm believer that responsible citizens or Gov’ts must be ready to share information with the press. Failure to do so then the press will survive on smuggling the news. If we see the press as an enemy, we will make no difference with the very oppressive Gov’t of poor administrators trying to keep us in the dark. For all I know, I have known Yaya’s family and shared great deal of jovial relationship with them. If I were Yaya’s brother, I would have broken the news to the press first before any one else would. That’s the interdependent relationship that exist between citizens/Gov’ts and the press -just my humble opinion. This is in no way a justification of the rules broken by the press. By that I also believe of a responsible press.

We should move on with speed now that it is confirmed with certainty that Yaya Bajinka is alive and was released by his captives.

Also, what do you good friends make of this article on the point newspaper?

Boy Yanks, I am starving...where is Haruna?? The Point newspaper once again gave us some early warning signs –Unity.

 Best of regards,

YJ
