Subject: ATTACKS ON IEC AND PA ROBERTS-MR. DAMPHA

  Mr. Dampha, you wrote

They focused on Gabriel Roberts and the IEC and when they
realized that it will be difficult to use IEC to steal the elections, now
they are resorting to the army ........

Mr. Dampha, I really welcomed your positive attitude towards Gabriel Roberts and IEC. Giving the impression to Gambians that Pa Roberts and the IEC as an independent institution are working closely to rig the voting and counting may backfire on the oppositions because people will lose confident in the whole voting process and refuse to vote. They will not waste their time and energy, waiting in long queues to vote because IEC and Pa Roberts will make APRC win anyway. As we speech right now, some people are considering not to vote because they strongly assumed that IEC will rig votes.

The opposition should closely monitor all the activities of IEC and respond to all irregularities and potential favors swiftly and in a manner that will not jeopardize their victory. They should help restore confidence in our electoral system and at the same time not compromise any wrong doing the IEC will be/is doing.

Folks, I am not saying that Gambians should not criticize the IEC or Pa Roberts but we should avoid unfounded speculations and unrealistic reasoning.

  Cheers

  Lamin PF Manneh

  >People familiar with French history will remember Marie Antoinette's

  >contribution to the brainstorming that was going on in Louise's
  >court as the
  >King and his men find SOLUTIONS for feeding the French peasants
  >right before
  >the French Revolutions. When Marie Antoinette heard that the
  >peasants were
  >complaining about lack of bread to eat, the Queen suggested that the
  >peasants should eat cake if they cannot find bread. This just showed
  >how out

  >Brings us to how vermin like Yaya and Sarjo Jallow view Gambians.
  >The other

  >
  >Yaya and his cohorts boast about a TV Station when the overwhelming

  >productive
  >institutions brought to The Gambia by PPP (Gamtel). The AFPRC/APRC
  >government is a government of misplaced priorities. They stole
  >enough money
  >from the people to be able to lead 'flamboyant' lifestyles. Yaya
  >does NOT

  >Ousman Badgie and Baboucarr Jatta steal power from the people. On
  >October

  >These people CANNOT fail the Gambian people and then continue to
