Mr. Ceesay:

Thanks for the recent posting. You've touched issues that we in the
opposition believed really happened during the 1996 elections. We all knew
that the dictator stole the election from Mr. Ousainou Darboe.

Our strategy for the next time is to formulate unity as a necessary symbol in
kicking the thugs out. We must redouble our efforts in convincing the
leaders of PDOIS, NRP and UDP to participate in primary elections in
determining the victor as the presidential candidate for the opposition. Our
position should be in engaging these leaders that individual political
achievements should not be made at the expense of the Gambian people. We are
united for one core reason and thus, should not allow any avenue for the
dictator to infiltrate.

Comrade,

ML Jassey-Conteh
