Folks,

I would like to add my voice to that of those of you calling for the release of Muhammed Lamin Sillah, the secretary general of Amnesty International Gambia Office, who was reportedly arrested and detained by the NIA.

Mr Sillah has been an outspoken member of Amnesty international, whose personal contributions to the course of promoting the rule of law, human rights and democracy in the Gambia has earned him the respect and appreciation of Gambians.His continuous detention without trial is a source of great concern.I therefore join the rest of you in calling for his immediate release.
