The rains resumed last week with a vengeance and wrecked havoc among some
communities particularly in the CRD. According to senior Agric officials,
the near drought may cause up to 21% decrease in yield this season. Many
farmers have had to replant as their first seedlings were scourched by the
hot sun and lack of rain.
