Subject: Obituary announcement

The Gambia-L Community,

'Innalinllahi wa inna illanna raj'uun'. From him we came and to him is the
return.

On behalf of the Gambian Association of Cincinnati, the Kassama Family and
Friends, we regret to announce the sudden and untimely death of Bubacarr
Kassama in Cincinnati, Ohio around 5 am on the 7/9/00, as a result of gun
shot wounds he sustained. Evidently, there was an attempted robbery by a
gang on his person that went badly wrong.

Arrangements are being made by The Gambian Association of Cincinnati to
dispatch the dead body to the family in Banjul after post-mortem
examinations have been concluded hopefully, by noon tomorrow or thereafter.

Accordingly, just as in other cases before this one, we would be soliciting
donations towards this drive from all Gambians and friends of The Gambia to
offset any expenses that be incurred. We intend to set up an account under
the auspices of the said Association to expedite this process. Details
would be posted/provided to the L as soon as they become available tomorrow.

We all extend our sincere condolences to the bereaved family back home and
pray that his and other departed souls rest in Jannah.

On behalf of The Gambian Association of Cincinnati.

........................
OB Silla.
