Eight students from Seattle's Garfield High School will be traveling with
our technology teacher to the West African country of The Gambia next
February. We will spend two weeks in the country building computer labs in
two rural high schools. We will be working alongside and teaching local
Gambian students about the technology we are bringing. We are partnering
with GambiaHELP who will be sending their own representatives.

Come enjoy the delicious West African food of Afrikando, hear African music,
and listen to a presentation of our project, all while helping us raise
money to pay for expenses, including computer parts, shipping,
transportation, and other logistics while in the country.

When: Sunday, 22 April 2001, 1-3pm
Where: Afrikando Restaurant
2904 1st Ave - Seattle, Washington
Phone: 206-324-9714

Donation Request: Our minimum donation request is $30.00, which includes
the cost of the meal.

Please RSVP by April 17th to student fundraising co-coordinator Emma Summer
at: [log in to unmask], or via phone at: 206-324-8972

Proceeds from this fundraiser will go to towards the student's project in
Gambia. If you are not able to attend the dinner, but would still like to
contribute, please send contributions to GambiaHELP directly and they will
send you a tax-deductible receipt for your donation.
