                    BY OUR SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT

President Yahya Jammeh has finally agreed to comply with the United
Nations resolution, which slammed a ban on his New Millennium plane,
which was reportedly being used by the jailed the Jarra West MP Baba K
Jobe for arm trafficking and blood diamonds trade, highly placed state
house sources told The ALLGAMBIAN online Newspaper today.

According to our sources, Jammeh's New Millennium plane had been grounded,
as the President had finally conceded to a UN resolution, which indicted
his aircraft together with Baba Jobe for fuelling the civil conflicts in
war ravage countries such as Liberia and Sierra Leone. Sources say Jammeh
cleverly avoided being intercepted by the Interpol, as there is an
indictment for the said aircraft to be impounded when seen in any foreign
Port.

Ades close to Jammeh told The AllGAMBIAN that the President, who appeared
worried launched a special appeal to the Taiwanese government to intervene
by purchasing a new aircraft for him. "The new aircraft recently
inaugurated was as a result of the ban on the President's plane. Taiwan
had to come to his aid to avoid embarrassment. The President said he is
not comfortable to board commercial flights."said a top official at the
State House in Banjul.

According to the official, the President had hired foreign pilots to run
his New Taiwanese plane, which arrived few weeks ago. "This plane will
replace the New Millennium, which had been grounded. Jammeh is
contemplating trading some of the plane's parts secretly. This is the
situation."said the state house insider.
