Comrades:

Since we cannot vote, I am appealing that we call home
and plead with our relatives to vote for the opposition.
We must also extend this plea to friends, as well as those
who are supporting the APRC government.

Now that we have done our work for a sustainable and viable
Gambia, our responsibilities in freeing the Gambia must
be evaluated from the strength of political reality. The
tide is moving fast, and as such, we must regroup and
evaluate strategies for the greater benefit of the opposition.

It would have been tremendous if we had a true coalition.
Unfortunately, the reality is that the opposition will
be dividing votes. I hope yahya does not get the 50%
required for an absolute victory. Though we have failed
in totality, we must understand that our rights in endorsing
different candidates within the opposition is inherent,
and a true spirit of democratic ideals.

May our efforts prevail. May those who concur with the
devil be driven away. The shadow of political wisdom,
truth and justice should forever be our guiding
principle. The Gambia is our home. Please let us take
it back from yahya. May we pray for a yahyaless Gambia.

Naphiyo,

Comrade ML Jassey-Conteh
Greensboro, NC/Kombo East Constituency
