Maybe some of you who are well versed with the laws can help us here. I
caught a fine print at the end of WCM's mission statement which reads:
"Non-Political — Non-Profit 501 (c)(3) — Non-Partisan" . Now, I may be a
little too fussy, but notice the ' 501 (c)(3)'. My guess is it means
Non-profit 501 Chapter 3 something to that effect and I wonder what the
legalities were. My guts tell me these people are financially driven and
besides nothing is free in American. I see WCM as another Johnny Ford &
Associate, Inc. in disguise. In their introduction, the wrote and I quote:
"1. This global organization of mayors from throughout the world is a
non-partisan, nonprofit, non-political organization "
No mention of the 501 (c)(3) in full view. That's someone hiding something
and thus can't be trusted. To further show you that they are profit-driven
here are some few excerpts(or keywords):
- "based on interlocking interests "
INTERLOCKING INTEREST? ummm!
- "promoting trust, trade, tourism, technology and twin city programs and
services between mayors and cities of the world."
PROMOTING TRADE, TOURISM, TECHNOLOGY? how, money don't on trees!
- "strongly believes that leaders of local governments working together can
lead to a more peaceful world and facilitate economic prosperity for all
LEADERS OF LOCAL GOVTs? I see, that's what they meant by Non-political!
PROSPERITY FOR ALL? Who is ALL? Since when is ECONOMIC PROPERITY Non-profit?
And finally, WHY only 3 loffice ocations for a WORLD CONFERENCE of MAYORS?
One in TUSKEGEE, AL (JOHNNY FORD & ASSOCIATE, INC's corporate office perhaps)
One in ATLANTA, GA ( Not supprise here, Atlanta makes a lot of sense)
One in KINGSTON, JAMAICA(He probably told them that was his ROOTS (o-:)
Any, I just wanted to highlight some few red flags because I smell another
rat trying to juice our Government. Notice that they seem to go to places
where corruption is rampant, Nigeria for instance. But hey, who said there
is no opportunity in CHAOS!

Frankly, I think these people are singing the Blues in the name of the
Holy Spirit. Take #1 for instance from their mission statement( link is:

organization".They're kidding, right? Because if that's the case, why dine
and wine with a PARTISAN, PROFIT-DRIVEN POLITICAL organization such as the
APRC. I don't buy it that the mayor of Bajul was elected by the people. He
was chosen by his party, the APRC, KAPUT. So folks, I think we should start
sending our grievances to these people and their affiliates EN MASSE.
That's the American way and they know it is effective .
When George Bush Sr wanted to send a message to Saddam, he didn't just send
couple of missiles. Of course Saddame will be in a better position to tell
you how many he received. To Bush, message was clear and his mission was
accomplished. So let's fire our petition e-mails, don't matter if it came
from Farafeni or Oslo, just make sure you got the chance to tell Mr Ford
that your opinion matter.
We have to be as persistent as the Jehovah Witnesses. I don't know if some
of you are acquainted with these people but they make sure they knock on
your door every Sunday ans see to it that you receive their handouts. My
only problem with their perseverance is that they come back every Sunday.
But I heard their organization is having their annual conference at the
Hyatt and this might be payback time for some of us who've been victimized
by these folks. How about going to their hotel rooms and knock every single
door at 3:00AM in the morning just to make the feeling mutual. I don't
think they're going to enjoy that, will they? (o-:). Anyway, am just joking
but you get the point. This goes to show you that, in American, persistence
works. Even those who are irritated still get the message. I bet Stovall
can attest to this. What makes Ford so special?
