PROGRAM PRESENT:

15th Annual Africa/ Diaspora Conference

Theme: TRADITIONAL/INDIGENOUS AFRICAN INSTITUTIONS and SYSTEMS in an ERA
OF GLOBALIZATION: Beyond Research and Theory

DATES:  APRIL 27-29, 2006

PLACE: California State University, Sacramento, USA

You are invited to submit proposal(s) to present and participate at the
15th Annual Africa conference. The conference examines the state of
indigenous African systems in the global village, with a focus on their
changes, continuities, and displacement.

Papers/proposals should aim to articulate new, innovative/creative, and
feasible options for resolution of the identified issues related to the
theme. Proposals that are based on Case studies and best practices are
highly invited; e.g. HIV-AIDS, conflict resolution, women & development,
healthcare, information technology, crime and justice system, education,
democracy & governance, human rights, child soldiers, post-conflict
reconciliation, agriculture, arts, trade, transparency and
accountability,
& etc.!

In your proposal submission, include paper title, 50-75 word abstract,
your full name, mailing address, email, phone and fax, your current
position/title and institution.

Deadline for submission of proposals: November 29, 2005.
You will be notified of acceptance of your proposal by email only.
Conference preliminary program will be available in February at :
www.csus.edu/org/capcr. Select papers will be considered for publication
and inclusion in the conference proceedings.
There will be a conference fee of $30. Participants will pay for their
own travel costs. Please email/fax/mail your proposals for papers or panels
