Do you know how much the charge will be, guessing? And if you have no
response yet for a contact name at college, I will be able to help. I know a
few of the instructors there.
Thanks

Maila

Subject: Science apparatus for The University of The Gambia

Apeal to the University of The Gambia. Please deal with this
quickly!!

A friend of mine, ALAN WELCH who lives at Normal Heightrs, Chiltern
Road, Amersham, Buckinghamshire HP6 5PH, England (Tel & Fax +44 (0) 1494
726 861) runs a voluntary charity called LABAID. He collects unwanted
science apparatus (not chemicals) from schools and universities in the UK,
and where he can he makes it available to schools and universities overseas.

There is a container going to The Gambia quite soon, and it may be
possible to put science apparatus in it for The University of The Gambia if
this would be helpful.

Please can someone contact a staff member at the University of The
Gambia and tell them of this possibility. They should then either contact
Alan Welch direct by telephone or fax email, or if this is difficult, they
could contact me and I will pass on the message.

There may be a small charge, because the goods have to be carried to
the town where the container is being loaded, but it will only be small.

Thanks. Mike Carrick (Bromsgrove near Birmingham, UK).
