Many thanks to both of you for this important piece of information. But 
goodness, can any of you tell us, how in the name of Allah could the hajj 
package take such an astronomical leap to over 80,000 dalasi in just a year, 
from 50 something thousand?

What is happening here? Is it just the price of jet fuel - can't our Muslim 
nations tell the Saudis to subsidise the cost for pilgrims especially since 
they are always at the frontline for making the prtrol "burden" more 
bearable for rich westerners!
Jeez - every twelve-and-a-half pilgrims beat a million dalasi, in these 
crazy hard times in Gambia.
