There seems to be mysterious delay of mail delivery to and from the St. Johns
mail system at the moment. I have observed that it took a couple of hours
before I receive a copy of my mails to the L despite the fact that they can be
read from the archives page on the WWW.
We have been informed that the SJU's network has been un-stable as a result of
"one or more public resource (eg a student lab machine or non-secure community
facility PC) machines were compromised and are essentially jamming the
University."

The server administrators at SJU are aware of the problem and are working to
solve it at the moment.
Mails sent to Gambia-L will not be lost but they can take from 5 munites to up
to 4 hours before being received by list members.
