Hello Ginny, I had sent this yesterday but I had exhausted my quota and it
did not make it here. Luckily I was able to recover it but I adjusted the part
where you wondered if the event did indeed happen.

I completely concur with your notes below and I understand your anxieties
variously. I noticed you wondered something about me and I want to make sure I
acknowledge and dispense with it properly:

[And Haruna if Yero is supposedly a thief, etc.,] Ginny.

To satisfy this query, because I'm confident you'll agree that if Yero were
a thief, you and I and our friends will be best advised to exercise caution
when we yield to his solicitations, I encourage you to review the public
records of Hennepin County and federal court records.

[would it not have been wise to check this out before pledging any money to
him?] Ginny.

Yes Ginny I agree with you under ordinary circumstances. However, I share
with you that Yero embarked on the National Conference upon my urging of him and
Gainako. And I was not aware, neither did I investigate criminal records of
Yero or other Gainako partners. I had recognized Yero's ubiquity at Posten
(more than at Gainako as he shares with us), as an effort to yield Gainako, a
young effort, more notoriety. I am given to charity often. When I noticed Yero
was turning the benign National Conference into a "United Gambian" private
organisation, I became uncomfortable and I began to regret my urging of him to
husband or wife such effort. And when I detected a certain un-ease from our
most honourable Magistrate JDAM, I began to more actively qualify my doubts.
That is when I began my investigations. I want to share with you that that
investigation yielded much more than Yero's arrest for theft of others' social
security numbers and assuming others' identities. I did not however wish to
embarass Yero at that time because I may have been accused of onerous demarche
but I withdrew my pledge basing my reasons on the extant concerns of JDAM
and my recognition of the material transmogrification of the National Unity
Conference. I hope you can understand my decision better and put it into its
contemporaneous context.

[(If that's what did indeed happen?)] Ginny.

I believe you can satisfy this allegation yourself. Yero his idiot self may
not be aware of some investigative details of his arrest. The final case file
was transferred to the INS so when Yero was being arrested it was under the
higher immigration violations. The original investigations began in Maryland
in early 2000. When it was discovered that he had violated his immigration
status, it was transferred to Hennepin County MN where Yero resided at the
time. The immigration charge trumped the initial investigation of social security
numbers. I do not know if all of the Minnesota-6 were arraigned on the same
charges but they have never been of concern or interest to me. suffice it to
say that in the United States, when you are arrested on immigration
violation, more times than not, it is triggered by lesser infringement. Not many
people even know the nuances of the triggering suspicions or investigations
especially when it is an interstate investigation.

Now then, I understand that you do not know what Haruna said and why that
innured this uncomfortable exercise in vindications and circumstance. I
encourage you to stay tuned as I will share with Demba and you good folk the W9Y.
Don't miss it this time and I may include some Fula in it but don't even think
about asking me to translate for you...Psyche!!!!

Your brother and bestest pal, Haruna Darbo. The internet is funny idn't
it??? But be comforted in the virtues of Truth, honour, and integrity. No de
marche can trump those. Stay true to yourself. Yero didn't get it the last time I
advised him of that. MQJGDT. Al Mutawakkil.

Hello, all, let's just drag out a little bit more dirty laundry while
we're at it (and for whoever this applies to) and right before
Ramadan, too.

I don't even remember what precipitated this discussion anyway?
Meaning, what caused Yero to make the accusations that he made? And
then to post them onto forums where the accused was not subscribed, as
if to say, "oh look at what Haruna did to me", asking for some
sympathy, and he knew he'd get it too, because he knows perhaps that
some people on the said forum where Haruna claims to not be present
(though the owner/moderator of said forum claims otherwise) don't much
care for Haruna, and also because Haruna would presumably not be there
to defend himself.

Someone mentioned that these accusations (Against Haruna) were not
only posted on Gambia-l, Gambia Post but on other online Gambian
forums as well, where, presumably, Haruna is not present there either?

I don't know what Haruna did, or did not, do, what he supposedly said
or didn't say. And I don't much care, but spreading around dirty
laundry, and then proceed to wish everyone a happy ramadan (backbiting
/ gossip anyone?) just seems a bit hypocritical to me.

I don't know what started this discussion, admittedly, I don't follow
much of the email lists I'm subscribed to these days, and I only read
a post when the subject line catches my attention, or I happen to take
a cursory look through my inbox to make sure that I've not neglected
to respond to an important email.

So I don't know what led up to this, and to be honest I don't care.
But don't we have more important business to attend to? And Haruna if
Yero is supposedly a thief, etc., would it not have been wise to check
this out before pledging any money to him? (If that's what did indeed
happen?)

And I see the tribalism bomb has been utilized again, yep, when
someone makes you angry, or you're having some sorta beef/problem with
someone, the go-to epithet of choice it seems is, wait for it,
"tribalism". When all else fails, just use the word "tribalism", and
you're bound to get some sympathy from at least some quarters.

Gosh, I'll have to keep that in mind next time I get into another
online tussle with someone (which I'd really like to avoid). And oh,
yeah, "racism" can be used in place of "tribalism", if "tribalism"
doesn't fit in a particular instance. Examples would be "racism",
"sexism", "ableism", you get the picture, any kind of word along those
lines to dirty up your opponent in others' eyes without you actually
having to do the actual dirty work of "proving" why the person you're
having a disagreement with is actually the awful person you're
claiming them to be.

But I'm digressing, as always... Pheew! I'm going to find some
chocolate... And some men would say that it's only women that are
petty.
