•SECURITAS VISITED ADONIS (GAMBIAN BORN) ATTACK BY SUBWAY GUARDS TO SAY
THEY'RE SORRY

• DEBATE ABOUT SECURITYGUARDS and their role in society
THURSDAY the 9th of March
18.00 at ABF-huset, Sveavägen
(arranged by the network around "Adonisprotest")
-----------------------------

SECURITAS:
At the beginning of the week two representatives from Securitas - the
director for subwayguards and the director of information, were visiting
Adonis Hocheimy at the hospital to tell him that they are sorry about what
happened, and to get information from him about his current situation.
Both parties seemed to have appreciated the meeting.
At first - in the beginning of january - Securitas said that Adonis is to
blame for resisting, thus causing the damage himself. But now both
managing director (vd) Juan Vallejo and director of information Marcus
Thomasfolk says what happened is unfortunate. They also say guarding the
subway is just a very small part of their companys' work, but still this
is the part that draws the most attention, and they don't want to gather
reasons for complaint.

-----------------------------------

DEBATT:
Hur
påverkar det rättssäkerheten?

DEBATE:
Abuse and racism by securityguards has become a frequent topic in the
news. How come? And how come that securityguards are taking over more and
more of the work that otherwise would be done by police? Is the society
quietly accepting that private interests and profits will increasingly
prevent justice in front of the law to rule in peoples everyday life - in
the subway, the restaurant, the store, the street?
We need answers to the questions; What are the authorities doing to
control the work of private securityguards and protect the rights of the
citizens? And what is the future going to be?
