Bro Oko,
Well after reading your posting with great delight it looks like my Guys have been naughty with their stone throwing and mangoes i think i can put my hand on my heart and say those are the T JUNCTION BOYS,but am sure you know it was nothing Malicious is the brothers getting a bit excited with the whole enjoyment thing and am sure you agree with me that Sukuta in other words can be describe as (SUKUR KUNDA.
am sure you had a great time at my home,as for politics i can see you are sitting on the fence but all in due course one by one everyone will denounce this unacceptable predicaments the Gambians have found themselves in that is for sure, how things have change in a flash for Gambians is beyond belief for me.Am not Anti Jammeh i just disagree with his policies.Do know some banks in this country still think that the official Gambian passport is RED and here we the embassy doing nothing about it that just show how the type people employed by this adminstration,i called the Embassy myself once and tell them to do something about it but from sources i still happening am just glad is not happening in my bank i work for i make sure of that many of the lads i help open a/c for will testify for me.
So oko people like with intelligence should start talking so this Gov can start listening.
Peace
Paps

Yes You have found out who Oko is but to many this is not New. I am son of the great Ya Arret mboge. The Half-.Die Godmother Yayi Compin guru, with the biggest social club in the Gambia. She brought to the the great Senegaleses Wrestler Dodou Backar Sarr and Foday dusu Bah to Banjul and drummer Ali Gaye, Mass Less Choun of Bargney and Simba Pierre Ngum. I am only following the footsteps of my mom who was Jahumpa and Kwame Nkumarashs
organiser in the Gambia. She brought E.T,Mensah (highlife Legend of Ghana who played with Louis Amstrong to the K.G.5.They used to sing my name in her FANAL songs. I grew up very glamouous. That's why I am an ARTIST. My mother is in me.I am an extension of YaArret Mboge of Dingere and a simple Gambian Playing my bit to help my people and my country.

I remembered all the Sukuta shows ( with Sidat ) , also Gunjur cinema shows ,Brufut and Brikama.with Ifangbondi. You reminded me of Mbassa, That was a Senegalese song on the second Ndaga album after "Suma -Thailey Nawna" and "Gossando "by Ibra Kasse the founder of Youssou Ndour and recorded Youssou's first song" Woi na La . No Gambian have ever sang Mbassa and no Gambian band have ever copied a Senegalese song. But Senegalese bands
do copy Gambia sounds and rhythms structures and melody. Why ???

In Sukuta they would gather stones and mangoes or whatever and when we announce Last Piece (last song) in Sukuta then they would attack the band stage. Gunjur was different,we had J.O.J who was my promoter and organised the fan club and guidelines to fans. In Basse also it was not easy. I had Jahe Sumareh and Malick Kurbally. One day Senemie had to lift Jahe out of the Dance. Brikama was cool too.. I worked there at Fankanta with
commissioner Joberteh, I had my Disco there and I had a house there staying with late Saho Colley. There was Blackie, just like JOJ .He was my information minister. These were the key markets for Ifangbondi.Later Brufut had a force with the arrival of Henry Williams and his Koto Wali Club.

You are tempting me on politics but as I said earlier on that the Artist can express his political views and critics inside his art and music. Believe me I with the people.I know what time it is.

Forward brother !!!
