mr bambalaye ,i disaggree with you 1000% .there are certain things our 
ancestors carry along which doesn't serve any credible purpose. we should 
be willing and ready to embrace positive change. i am very cultural and i 
will not abandon any good part of my culture but i will also not hesitate 
to do away with bad aspects of my tradition ,this is being matured.

any kind of descrimination is bad ,especially about some thing pertaining 
to class. ''there is no obedient to the creation in the disobedient of the 
creator'' prophet muhammad (pbuh).
this class system is against god statements of ''all human beings are 
equal ,the best among you is the one with best character''. how can you 
ever justify descrimination ? people were stop from several things just 
because you from that cast .imagine that being you. some times we need to 
feel for each other.
my brother conilius may have misunderstood malanding . the akus are 
resident in all parts of the gambia .but they are largely concentrated in 
the greater banjul area. this is normal as people of the same language 
tend to congregate in the same area.the akus are still movers in gambian 
politics and civil service ,in fact they are more powerful than many other 
tribes if compaired to there size. i am sure malanding didn't mean any 
derogatory remark against the aku's. one thing though ,the akus keep 
themself away from mingling with other tribes in many cases ,i don't know 
why is that but some believe that it is becase they don't want bad 
influence on their children .we all have certain peculiarities. God save 
us all.
