"Jammeh has a few days in power"

The Campaign Secretary of the opposition coalition has said that President
Jammeh has just days as President of The Gambia.

Juwara told a rally of the opposition coalition in Njain Sanjal recently
that the whole world is “sick and tired of the Jammeh regime and his
government” whose days at the helm are numbered. “Jammeh has started tasting
the bitterness of political isolation and sanctions,” he declared. Juwara
further pointed out that the president’s priority village for development is
Kanilai, “so the people of Sanjal should vote for the UDP to enable Saikou
Sabally to come back.”

He warned President Jammeh “not to use Jolas as campaign tools because they
are a minority and should be careful of creating tribal conflicts.” Juwara
asserted that it is “needless to talk about a second round as they are going
to win the first round. He said the majority of Gambians have discovered the
havoc meted out to them by Jammeh government since 1994. “I know that
Gambians have now discovered the difficulties caused by the regime,” Juwara
said, adding that “in 1996, Yahya thought he was the best, but he has proven
beyond doubt that he is not the least qualified to occupy the presidency.”

He told the gathering that a UDP government will replace all the
constitutional powers and rights that has been seized by Jammeh, reminding
the people not to vote for a government that denied them the right of
appointing their own Alkalos and chiefs

. The coalition team later left for No kunda where the Alhaji Assan Musa
Camara called on the people of Baddibu to replace the APRC with the UDP-led
coalition. In his contribution, Shyngle Nyassi youth president of the UDP
questioned the sacking of former chief of Njian Sanjal Matarr Gaye. Nyassi
accused the APRC of misusing national resources at the experience of Gambian
taxpayers. Similar rallies were by the opposition coalition were held in
Illiasa, Njaba kunda, Farafenni and Sabach Sanjal
