Beran,
Thanks for this priceless information. Your generosity humbles me. I am
committed to do some research on this and make sure my vote count. You the
best. You know, assuming how many so-called intellectuals we have on this List
I did anticipated a quicker response but maybe this is not as important to
some. Anyway it's encouraging to see few exceptions such as yourself and I
commend you Beran. And you're right,Jambarrs do NOT give a deaf-ear to
pertinent issues affected their livelihood. Am not insinuating
or pointing figures at one in particular but I think we should pay a closer
attention to home. There is no other place like home. Better Believe it.

                                                     Cheers
                                                     George

George,

My answer to your questions are:

Q1. Yes it is possible for us to vote whilst in the diaspora by
Contacting the IEC and the Gambian Embassy in the respective
Countries where we may be in,for the required mechanism to facillitate
The exercise outside the Gambia .

Q2. Inorder to find out who to vote fo,you need to be familiar with the
Party or individual's manefesto or issues of concern to Gambia and
Gambians.
This should be independent of tribal or other affiliations.

Q3. Essa's suggestion is valuable, but as you might have observed, ihave not
seen
Any suggestion so far to that effect and there are lots of issues
affecting us today
In The Gambia and outside the Gambia.

The Gambia help drive intended to get text books to be sent to the needy
back
Home is a positve move and I commend thoes who introduce the idea and
are
Trying to implement it,noteting that they are none gambians (correct me
if
I'mwrong)
but concern about gambians. The situation of foreigners being more
effectively
concern, in terms of actions being taken on issues that affect us, is
a
clear
indication of our insincerity to our country and people. This attitude
mannifest itself to
        Govermental level,regional level e.g Ecowas,and continental level e.g
OAU.

My fellow countrymen, it is time we get involve somehow. Our country
and
people needs
Us . The time is to act now. Let us be Jambarrs for our contry and
people .

        Allah/God bless us all .

         Thank You

         Beran.

ME...Thanks

Q1. Since quite a number of Gambians are in the diaspora,
is
it possible
for us to vote while abroad? And how?

Q2. I also think a lot of people abroad don't even know who
to
vote for to
begin with and since this is true, who would make an ideal
candidate to win
                our votes?

Q3. As ESSA THOMAS suggested why don't each one of us come
up
with some
                real
issues affecting us today, and let's give them not only
some
thought but
figure out solutions. I think it is a great start.

Q4.Last, To Halifa : what realy is your position?
                  A. A Politician seeking office
                  B. A Freedom fighter willing to risk it all
                  C. A mawlid with inconceivable ideals
                  D. An instigator - the average JOE
