Yero,
My defination of " nonsense " means to me, words put together in a way that does
not make sense. If you define it another way, then i am sorry for using it. Was
the late Dad the only ex-Jokadu Chief under the PPP ? Why are you pushing this
issue to a highly respected family ? Did you properly read my explaination about
the attestation of birth. I know you are really disturbed about the explaination
i did on the L, but this was not meant to attack anybody personally. Gambians
allowed this illegal registration of birth certificates, which gave rights to
foreigners to claim citizenship, but they are paying for the price.
Regarding the ex-Libidorr Jazz Band saga as you called it, i will explain
everything to you, so that you will not be misinformed. I was working in Libya
up to 1981, when i was appointed by an Italian company ( Postinsubria ) as an
accountant. The company was building the Al-Fatah university in Tripoli, by then
your health minister Dr. Yankuba Gassama, Dr. Bakary J. Sonko and Nderey Touray
were studying at the University. Imam Baba Leigh was often visiting me at the
company. There i got a swedish friend, who introduced me to a Swedish-Saudi
company in Saudi Arabia where i was appointed for the same post as Accountant
and Sales Co-ordinator. I worked for the company for three years, and many
Gambians can confirm this to You, e.g Modou Alieu Barry, Olu Roberts and other
Gambia Airways staff who were coming to Saudi Arabia at that time. Even your
Blaise Jagne visited me, when he was there with the Jawara team on a visit. I
was earning up to D20.000 every month at that time, and i controlled most of our
projects in Saudi and other countries. I was not a musician, and was neither
interested in music business, but somebody promised to make business with me in
the Gambia, because i was sending my money to him every month. He advised me to
buy the instruments for the musical business, because he said it was badly
needed in Gambia. I was the most stupid fool to trust what an opportunist would
tell me, because my ex-boss wanted us to open a business in Europe, which i
rejected. I accepted and started buying instruments from Saudi Arabia and
England. I sent money to Bala Jahumpa, who bought most of the instruments from
England and sent them to Gambia. Confirm this with Pa Bala! When i got all the
instruments, and the money i had in Gambia plus my cash in hand at that time, i
was confident with what i had, i left my job and packed a container with my car
and all my things and came back to Gambia. Regrettably, promises were failed and
the business also failed as planned. Then my dear brother, could you kindly tell
the whole world about the ex-Libidorr saga you are talking about? I think you
should be honest to yourself to say what you know. I spent the best part of my
life hustling overseas with my pride and proudness to what i get. For your
information, i have studied music here and have better instruments than the ones
i had during Libidorr. So you better tell those Jealous people that I am
surviving. I know most of you envied us before 1994, so thank God you are able
to get / do what we were getting / doing. I am not sitting eggs, so i have no
fears to use "Jango names" or to say the truth to all of you. I have no hatred
for anyone of you. Just do the right thing, if you want to lead us. Stop the
killings / intimidatings / insultings and give us our rights. That`s all we need
from you guys. Once again, sorry if you feel disrespected with my postings.
