GOOD MORNING, MR. PRESIDENT,WHY THE SILENCE ON AYCOTH'S DEATH THREAT ALLEGATIONS?
Good Morning Mr. President, we are very concerned about reports reaching us that your administration is now extending its hit and kill style abroad. The news on the death threats exposed to EAW Group, INC Chief Executive John E. Aycoth should be of concern to any freedom and peace loving human being. We at the Freedom Newspaper, will never attempt to censor such a news item, as it is in the public interest.

  JAMMEH AND HIS LATE BROTHER
  EDI AMEN!!!
Mr. President, the reports emanating from the EAW Group/ Gambia government trial are very disturbing. America is a Land of laws and we expect you to resort to the courts if you feel that you are aggrieved by the revelations made by the EAW Group. While we are not in the position to hold you responsible for the said damaging allegations, it would be of an interest to Gambians to tell us your side of the story.
Mr. President, gone are the days, when the secret act is being invoked to block parties threatened by enemies of freedom. We as a media organization are interested to know who are these people threatening Mr. Aycoth. We would also want to know why is your government not keen at discussing this serious charge in a US law court. If your hands are clean, why the need to panic?
Mr. President, thanks to the EAW Group, our country men and women are now able to know about these secret projects entered abroad. That this administration is shamelessly engaged in official corruption. The EAW Group motion is indeed damaging to a government calling itself to be transparent.
The plaintiff charged that his projects were frustrated by greedy Jammeh folks, who will not sign any document without being bribed. How can The Gambia developed when you the President is a thief? We are not surprised about the mentioned of Amadou Samba’s name in that damaging document filed by the plaintiff. Samba, is one of those aiding and abetting this government. The government compensated him in return for the dirty services he rendered to them over the years, through the awarding of unpublished government projects. Under normal circumstances, such projects should be tendered before they are awarded to any company. But this administration evaded such government policies to satisfy the President’s errand boy Amadou Samba.
Mr. Samba, was awarded the Banjul International airport contract, the Arch, and a host of other multi million dollar contracts. The same Amadou Samba, acted as an under cover for Jammeh to buy the country’s Daily Newspaper, the Observer, which is today turned as Jammeh’s paper.
Mr. President, your government need to talk on this EAW Group damaging allegations. This is not the time to bury things under the carpet. John and his group, we are told are determined to exhaust all legal remedies at their disposal. You should stop playing games and address the issues at hand.
Mr. President, we are also disturbed by the US shopping spree you made years back. While our citizens are dying of hungar, you shamelessly engaged in such irresponsible acts. We expect you to be more responsive to their plight and not otherwise. Our recent editorial comparing you with former Ugandan dictator Edi Amen, is a true story. We can now comfortably say that you are even worst than Edi Amen. You are killing our people day in day out. These monies you are lavishly dishing out or spending could have been channeled to our dying folks, who are finding life difficult these days. They badly need such monies.
Mr. President, it is often said that silence means guilt and your failure to discuss this damaging revelations made by the EAW Group, will send a negative signals to legal minds. Remember, the, “the day is May.” Are you ready, Mr. President to face the challenges ahead of you? We feel sorry for Gambians. Our country is in wrong hands. It is being presided over by criminals. Have a great day, Mr. President.
