ATTN: Mr. Ebou Colley,

Once agian you have demonstrated your commitments to the course of unsitting
the babaric regime of Gambia's worst ever president in Yaya Jammeh! Your
indept accounts of the activities of the illigitimate government of Jammeh
since 1994 clearly indicates the urgent need for Gambians both here in the
diaspora and at home to join forces to bring Yaya and his government to book,
come the presidential elections this year.

A government that engages itself in maiming, murdering, distroying personal
property, harassment of journalists and violation of basic Human Rights have
no place in the history of our dear motherland.

A govermnent, that comprises of people with no respect for the rights of the
citizins of its nation, a goverment that can authorize the shooting of
innocent school children excersising their basic human rights and yet again
are hell-bent on admitting the truth, such a government can only continue to
do so without action from its citizens probably in the C18th and certainly
not in this modern world.

The efforts of Gambians both in and outside of the country is a clear
manifestation of the fact that Gambians have suffered enough during the 7
years of Yaya Jammeh rule! It is about time people that Gambians come
together as a united front, irrespective of paty affiliation and work towards
a strategy that will undoubtedly unseat the AFPRC in the coming elections.
Gambians cannot afford to let the AFPRC government to resume responsibility
of ruling them after all what the citizens, both civilian and army have gone
through during the years this monster rigime has been in place.

It is evident that: ONCE A SOLDIER, ALWAYS A SOLDIER! Yaya have betrayed the
Gambian people and have abundantly lied about his ambitions as far as leading
the Gambian people is concerned. He came with the banner: SOLDIERS WITH A
DIFFERENCE! True! The truth is there for all to see as was revealed in the
masterly revealations of the activities of this government by our friend EBOU
COLLEY and many others here in this august forum. The revealations suggests
that Yaya and his bandits are prepared to go at any level to cross anybody
that opposes their way of administering the affairs of the nation. This
ofcourse among other things, killing innocent citizens, misuse of public
funds for personal interests, perverting the course of justice, arbitrary
arrests, detention without charge, election rigging and many other things
that are contrary to the constitution of the Gambia.

Dictator Jammeh, gone are those days when leaders try to surpress their
people and forcing themselves on to them as their leader against their will.
The Gambia is a soverign nation, therefore her people have the right to be
governed by their choice and come election 2001, Gambians will abandon you as
a failed leader who deserved no place in the pages of history of this great
nation.

Finally, Ebou Colley, i hope you will continue the good work you and others
have been engaged in to send this disasterous government packing soon.
Hopefully, your revealations on the coup of 1994 will be welcomed by the
people and I personally look forward to reading more stories from you.

Good day guys!

Lamin B Jammeh
