Yaya’s rebuke of Buba Baldeh did NOT come as a surprise to most of us.
Matter of fact it came a bit late for some of us. But its tardiness also has
an explanation. When Buba Baldeh leaked to the Press Yaya’s shenanigans in
the ‘ambassador-for-cash’ deal, most knew that the vindictive moron will get
back at Baldeh. But Yaya was placed in between a rock and a hard place. Buba
Baldeh had promised him that he (Baldeh) was going to deliver Basse. So,
Yaya, despite that he is a moron, at least realized that he needed Baldeh
somewhat.

Yaya, in his characteristically insolent fashion, decided to ignore the
CORRUPTION story Baldeh leaked to the Press and instead was banking on
Baldeh to deliver Basse. As usual, the vermin treated the Gambian public
with contempt again. He did NOT even address this case of broad daylight
robbery where he was caught with his pants down asking for bribe. When he is
confronted with clear CORRUPTION charges/evidence, he always stays mute
because he knows he is caught red-handed. The moron is so stupid that each
time he steals, he leaves a paper-trail.

But going back to the genesis of Yaya’s irrational rattling lambasting Buba
Baldeh. Yaya knows that he is FINISHED in Basse. His campaign in Basse was a
disaster. APRC thugs literally had to force people to come listen to Yaya.
Others like the officials (appointed by Yaya) and their supporters were
bribed to follow Yaya on the campaign trail. Others were bussed from other
constituencies. Whether this bribery will work in the lonely confines of the
ballot box is another matter. In any case, Yaya went to Basse and was
disgraced. The farmers will NOT show up because they knew AFPRC/APRC brought
destitution to the country. The Sarahulehs, cognizant of the fact that Yaya
used the Sarahulehs and blamed them for Baabaa Jobe’s crimes with the ‘Blood
Diamond’, also repudiated APRC. Heavy-weights like Assan Musa Camara (Buba
Baldeh’s boss) and MC Cham also descended on the people of Basse to talk
about APRC corruption, false promises and how the Alliance is going to help
alleviate poverty in the region.

At the end of the day what we had was a dejected Yaya that tasted the sour
taste of defeat. Panicked, the APRC decided to extend their stay in Basse
and engage in more intimidation and bribery. When the IEC got wind that APRC
were ‘overstaying’ in Basse, the IEC literally had to force APRC to leave
the region. I hope the IEC continue in this path and ensure that the letter
of the law is applied equally to all parties. So, when a dejected Yaya got
the clear message that the people of Basse have REPUDIATED him, the vermin
turned on Buba Baldeh. Yaya no longer needs Buba Baldeh. Yaya knows that he
is FINISHED in Basse and there is no way Buba Baldeh can deliver. So, what
did he do? The vindictive Yaya lashed out on Baldeh before his own people
and dragged Baldeh’s name in the mud. This is typical behavior for the
low-life. Lying about people he CANNOT use is nothing to him. Baldeh is
lucky that Yaya did NOT put him in jail or kill him. Baldeh should NOT say
that he was NOT warned. When he unashamedly enslaved himself to Yaya, he was
warned to refrain from dining with the Devil and mortgaging his soul to the
same person that stole power from him. But being the sycophant and
opportunist he is, he would NOT listen. Well, he is beginning to learn the
hard way. There is more to come after Yaya is gotten rid of come October 18,
2001.

All these sycophants and opportunists following Yaya around will pay a heavy
price for their actions and utterances. Yaya is NOT loyal to anyone except
himself. Remember this is the man that sanctioned the murder of people that
helped him steal and consolidate power. Remember Almamo Manneh and Sadibou
Hydara. Remember Koro Ceesay. Remember the numerous sycophants Yaya has
dismissed willy-nilly and lied about them to the Gambian people. The man is
a power-hungry thug that is only interested in being the president so that
he can lead a flamboyant lifestyle. These people are NOT interested in the
plight of the Gambians. They slaughtered our children in broad daylight and
under their watch Gambians have grown poorer than they were before these
vermin came to our lives. The sooner the Buba Baldehs and the Sarjo Jallows
and the Marcel Thomasis and the Samba Faals and the Antouman Sahos of The
Gambia realize that they are enslaving themselves for NOTHING, the better.
For the sake of our children (if not for their own sakes), these sycophants
should distance themselves from Yaya and stop campaigning for the moron.
They send our children the wrong message if they tell them that it is OK to
vote for a child murderer to the highest office in the land. It is pathetic
that adults like those I listed above will be so intimidated by a coward
like Yaya to the extent that they CANNOT see that it is wrong for Yaya to
order the cold-blooded massacre of defenseless children in broad daylight.
It is just pathetic. Despite that Yaya has come out and disgraced Buba
Baldeh in public, Baldeh will still slave for Yaya. Same thing happened to
Tombong last week. And the same thing also happened to Pap Cheyassin Secka
and Blaise Babucarr Jagne. These people will be disgraced before the eyes of
the whole world and the next you know they are crawling before Yaya begging
for their jobs. I will NOT even deal with Yaya’s slanderous and childish
comments against some respected PPP elders. The moron’s garbage does NOT
even deserve a response from good folk. He is desperate and will say
anything and do anything to stay in power. But his days are numbered.
