BREAKING NEWS:BLINDA BIDWELL NAMED NEW SPEAKER, GEORGE ASZIZZ AFRA FM DEPUTY-FJC FAILED IN HER BID!!!
News just came in that Blinda Bidwell former Deputy speaker of Gambia’s Parliament has been named as the country’s new speaker. She replaces disgraced speaker Sheriff Mustapha Dibba. Mr.Dibba was recently arrested and dumped at the Mile Two Central Prisons, after been accused of conspiring with alleged coup plotters to topple Jammeh’s government. After languishing in jail for couples of days, Dibba was granted bail, while his fate is yet to be decided.

JAMMEH'S GOOD DAYS WITH THE DISGRACED
  SPEAKER.....
Meanwhile, the Freedom Newspaper was informed that nominated MP George Aszizz was elevated to the position of Deputy speaker. George is the proprietor of Afra FM Bar and Restaurant. He was hand picked by President Jammeh, following the sacking of Ramzia Diab from the house. George’s nomination as Deputy Speaker followed an election organized by the ruling APRC, in which he defeated his opponent Fatoumatta Jahumpa Ceesay who was never voted in by the APRC members. FJC emerged unsuccessful in her bid to become a Deputy speaker. APRC NAMS refused to cast their votes for her.
It is gathered that Fatoumatta Jahuma Ceesay and Churchill Baldeh reported Dibba to the President after their failed attempts to convince the speaker to okay a propose bill for one party state in The Gambia. Dibba, we gathered was very mad with the two, as he told them outright that under his watch as a speaker he will never encourage or allow such a bill to be tabled before the house. Dibba was said to have even questioned the mental status of the two , as he told them that such moves were anti democracy and good governance. Angered by the speaker’s response FJC and Churchill rushed to the state house to inform Jammeh that the speaker was not loyal to his administration and could be a possible security threat. That Dibba was sympathetic to the opposition even though he Jammeh elevated him to the speaker position. The Freedom Newspaper, gathered that the two misinformed the President by telling him that Dibba was posed to manipulate some deputies to impeach him.
Now that FJC has failed to secure her deputy speaker ambition, many observers say the woman had harbored grudges against her colleagues, who for some reasons thought that she was not the right person for the job.
