Daddy Sang,
Your initial reaction to the vaccine trials about to take place in The
Gambia is justified given the perceived attitude of the west toward
Africa;perhaps I should have prefaced my earlier statement with the
prevailing atmosphere of mistrust. Otherwise,I suspect, we are on the same
wave length. To further assure you, the health authorities in Banjul,Medical
Research Council and WHO among others will, most certainly, be monitoring
the exercise.
