US Ambassador-designate to The Gambia, Jackson McDonald was confirmed
yesterday by the US Senate.  He will be sworn-in in October and should be
reporting to Banjul in November.  Ambassador McDonald was kind enough to
look my daughter up and had coffee after his confirmation. Please join me
in wishing Ambassador McDonald a successful tour of duty in The Gambia.
