It is sad to note that most African countries have entered the 21st century
with some of its nations at war, either within or with neighbors. My
question is: do we need all these weapons in a country like The Gambia?
what is there to make anybody to attack Gambia? One might respond,
prevention is better than cure. Yes, but to what extend.

Africa cannot afford to house her already limited resources committed to
buying guns that are used to destroy lives. Instead these resources should
be channeled to the development of the continent. Lets vigorously advocate
for peace and stability. We need peace to progress, not weapons.
