Elhajj, I will use my last posting for the day to thank you very much for
what you have said. We are indeed one big family and before Yaya came to the
mix no Gambian was ever killed because of the tribe he are she belonged to.
Like you, EVERYBODY I have spoken to told me that they do NOT want Yaya to
lead us. I also recognize that even some we see around him during the
campaign period are going to vote against him. They are only following the
moron because they are scared.

But above all Elhajj, I am happy that you pointed out that Ousainou Darboe
is a GOOD man. Darboe will NEVER kill a Gambian because of his or her tribal
affiliation or other prejudice. All the man is known for is for fighting to
safeguard the human rights of people. Darboe’s best friends belong to other
tribes. The man is married to a woman from another tribe. Has children that
are half-wollof. Have in-laws that are wollof. It pains me to the bottom of
my heart seeing people accuse Darboe of bigotry or even suggest that Darboe
would tolerate such despicable conduct in a Party he leads. Darboe
detractors ignore the fact that the UDP leadership is comprised of people
from various tribes. The Campaign Manager is Femi Peters. UDP leader in the
House is a Fula. UDP Youth Wing Leader is a Jola. Elhajj, it is painful at
this late hour to have to tell seemingly educated Gambians on this forum
these simple truths about Darboe and his Party. How can people be this
vicious to the man and our people to spread such lies about the man.

Another sad lie also pertains to the fact that the man can be manipulated by
special interest. A weak leader will NOT enter Gambian politics at the stage
Darboe entered Gambian politics. A weak leader that can be manipulated by
special interest would have taken a ‘vacation’ and left politics. A weak
leader would NOT stand up to thugs like Yaya, Yankuba Touray, Edward
Singhateh, Baabaa Jobe, you name it. Darboe left a lucrative private
profession in order to dedicate his life to liberating our people from
tyranny. The least he deserves from people is LIES about his beliefs and his
will to move our people FORWARD.

Elhajj, thank you very much.

Mose,
All the people i have spoken to in Banjul will not vote for Yaya Jammeh,
because they want peace in our country. They are sick and tired with these
acts of carnivalism going on in the Gambia. These criminals are still ready
to pour more Gambian blood, or to take them six feet deep, which many
people feel, that he should be voted out of office to save lives. People
are coming to their senses, about this campaign of tribalism, the AFPRC is
telling the nation. People know who brought tribalism in the Gambia. We all
have relatives in different tribes. Gambia is too small, and tribalism has
no space in our society. The accusation on Ousainou Darboe as a tribalist
is totally wrong and unfounded, and i believe if he wins, he will be very
careful on this allegation, because people will surely put an eye on his
government. Gambians are peace loving people, and they believe in God. This
is why they gave Yaya the chance to rule for the past seven years, but
unfortunately he abused it, by killing them, insultiting them, and abusing
their inalienable human rights. I believe, that people will take anything
Yaya Jammeh gives them, and then vote against him. After all my different
conversations with different people, i am convinced that Yaya cannot win in
Banjul. I also believe, that IEC are ready to do the correct thing, because
they have made all informations about the registered voters, polling
stations and counting stations publicly. I also believe, that the Gambian
citizens in the security forces has come their senses, and will not be
ready to kill their own relatives anymore. Yaya will be surprised, because
many of his supporters are against him, and the security forces too might
go against him, if he does not concede defeat. We need no more butchering
of our people. Let them go!
Thanks
Elhajj.
