Perhaps it is the plain banal journalism or the opposition's spin on
Yaya's bantering but something tastes just bland and distasteful.
Who cares about Halifa's qualifications from some nondescript
institution in the early 70s ? The fact still stands that Jammeh's
joke inadvertently turns out right- Halifa is NOT a professional
sociologist, and he is yet to honestly acknowledge this in public. He
did intentionally omit the fact that he has only undergraduate
credentials in sociology. Instead of taking the moral high road and
enlighten the electorate on mature politics, they all lapse into
childish spite, rancor and their unsual resentment of the incumbency.
How in the world can politicians that only react with so much hatred at
calculated sarcasm ever lead a peaceful nation?

Ebou
