My Dear Maareme OKO,

Thank you very much for the progressive INTERNATIONAL KORA FESTIVAL. I am glad to have you in my School of Thought for Progressive African Cultural Renaissance including the preservation of our NKO MANDENG CIVILIZATION.

If I should have my way, we will deport all the Mandinka speakers (born or integrated) and will only let them back into Kambiya Bolong when they pass the regorous NKO proficiency tests!!!!

The fun aside, I saw your Facebook invitation notice in my email but since my Facebook consumption is almost zero these days, due to other commitments, I am yet to log in to confirm. Facebook also distracts. Once am online many friends would like to chat and if I am slow they think I snub them. Since I do not have time, I just stay away.

However I would love to attend as the dates of the festival fall within the time window I reserved to be in KAMBIA but as God and Man know, I will only set foot into The Gambia when my Brother President Jammeh issues the guarantees and other matters I floated before and behind-the-scenes.

Whatever the case, I am with you in spirits and hopefully we will work together in any of the subsequent editions.

YOUR TIME PERMITTING, YOU CAN START WRITING DOWN SCRIPT/STORY ON THE CORA(history, relevance, whatever you want humanity to know about the socio-cultural and economic importance of the cora, etc.) THAT WE COULD DEVELOP INTO A WORLD CLASS DOCUMENTARY OR FICTIONAL FILM (whichever is feasible) to help preserve the legacy for posterity at least in modern Full High Definition (HD) audiovisual format.

Hugs,

Prince BA Sankanu
