months to run its medium-term course. I said that Mr Darbo - the
presidential candidate of the Alliance - buys into and indeed fully endorses
these plans we've sold to them".

Hamjatta, what are you trying to say here? Are you for one moment suggesting
that the plan you people developed and sold to Mr. Ousainou Darbo was bought
in its entirety? Because if that is the case, you owe us an explaination as
to whether the decision to leave out the other opposition parties when the
UDP merged with the PPP was also part of that plan.

You also stated that "the agenda will take anything between 12-24 months to
run its medium-term course". If this is so, how long is the long term course
supposed to take?

Finally, having allied themselves with the PPP, the UDP agenda must have
somehow changed slightly to reflect the views of the PPP. If that is
plausible, then we need to know what part of their agenda has changed and
what has not.

The reason I am asking these questions is that, this past Sunday on Radio 1
FM, there was a heated arguement between Halifa Sallah and OJ about why
there was not a coalition of all the opposition parties. One of the
statements by OJ defending their position regarding why there was not a
unified opposition including all other opposition parties was the factor of
time. He also made reference to the one year transition proposed by PDOIS,
the three year transition proposed by the unregistered GPP and the two year
transition proposed by the PPP. He made no mention of the transition
timetable favoured by the UDP and said nothing of the UDP/PPP timetable.
This, I thought was strange. I tried calling to seek clarification from him
but could not get through becasue of the many callers trying to contribute
to the discussion. That being the case, are you in a possition to tell us
what the UDP/PPP transition agenda is?

have a good day, Gassa.
