Granted one is credulous enough to belief such a highly speculative analysis/definition of a "failed state" according to the Fund for Peace...The Republic of The Gambia is far from being a "failed state". The organization's own report ranks Gambia 60 amongst an arbitrary selection of 76 nation-states even though the report has failed to include all of the 191 nation-states at the UN. The Gambia, according to the report, is much more stable/peaceful that Nigeria, Russia, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda and Guinea in a list where Ivory Coast ranks the top of the twenty countries most vulnerable to violent conflict. Gambia is way from collapsing.
