Subject: Re: ugnet_: Freeze Ituri Cash Flow - International Criminal Tribunal

Musaazi:

Let me quote the article below :

a) " The International Criminal Tribunal (ICT) has said that massacres in DR Congo's
ITURI REGION will continue unless the plundering is checked."

b) "Moreno-Ocampo reaffirmed the urgency of opening a judicial inquiry into the
war crimes and massacres perpetrated against the civil population in ITURI."

c) According to the UN, the clashes in Eastern DRC have claimed at least 5,000
lives and displaced over half a million people since 1999.

d)Ocampo said his office had continued gathering and analysing information
   from ITURI to determine

e) Uganda and Rwanda are the two main countries named in the ITURI crisis.

f) The groups (Militia) were militarily and financially supported by Uganda and Rwanda.

Not Mr. E Musaazi, having read the above very carefully ..how then do you begin to comment about Zimbabwe and Namibia . Where do the two countries fit in?

Anybody who can think clearly will agree with me that Mr Louis Moreno-Ocampo of the ICT is here talking about the massacres of congolese in ITURI; He is talking about the plundering of resources in ITURI region; he is talking about Uganda's/Rwanda's role in arming proxy militia in Ituri rgeion.

Interesting...what about Zimbabwe and Namibia. I once saw a report on the
DRC crissis that implicated Zimbabwean generals for plundering DRC's
resources particularly in that they areas that they controlled at the time.
