Buharry,
I join you all in sharing your concern for the death of Ebrima Barry, a
pupil of Forster's, Brikama.
Freelance intimidation, thuggery and bullying are nothing new in the
Gambia especially amongst the security personnel and political militants.
That it should manifest itself in such callous barbarity should be of deep
concern to us all. Since most avenues to social justice in regard to the
aforementioned kid's death are minimal if non-existent, I wouldn't be
surprised if this kid's death doesn't come to be catalogued under the many
who are still seeking recourse to social justice that stem as a direct result
of our out of control security personnel. I hope and pray this doesn't become
the case.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
