Yeah Mawdo Demba,

The name MOLENGEL is engraved on my brain cells. So whenever I hear or see it, the village vagabond in me jumps alive. If I go back to The Gambia, I will surely go to SAREH CACHO to learn about the fate of MOLENGEL.

Am enjoying the commentary very well.

You are right with Dr. Janneh. The timing and the circumstances beyond control just spelt bad luck for him and CCG. Surely lessons are learned and successive advocates of change will be smart.

With my Brother Jammeh one needs forward-thinking as you rightly said.

The challenge for one is to balance one's contribution to the socio-economic development of The Gambia and the ugliness of the greedy sharks highjacking the Jammeh System. For no matter how much one tries, one cannot escape them as long as one has something concrete (development project) in the jurisdiction of The Gambia. Mitigating against their destructive conducts is the best move.

But after 18 years, I believe we have enough lessons for people to develop forward thinking strategies and avoid being used, humiliated, abused, stained and dumped. If not jailed.

Thanks and warmest,

NJARAMA

Betreff: Re: [G_L] Mawdos Yero and Demba: Who is this MOLENGEL at Gainako?

Brother Prince Sankanu,

Thanks for the comments. Well, this may not just be a coincident, he/she
may be from close to where your first love originates. The Janneh story in
itself is a tragedy but as you said, many factors may have contributed to
him landing in Jail. Sometimes I think people underestimate the length to
which this regime is willing to go. Therefore, dealing with them needs
forward thinking and strategic planning.

I wish that Dr. Janneh had come out sooner and openly declare his political
affiliations and or intend to form a form organization. It could have made
a difference in the outcome of his case or at least how the rest of the
world will view it.

Anyway, we are glad the series brought back some sweet memories for you...
never give up as you may once again in your life time meet Molengel - your
first primary school sweet heart.

Stay tuned for more series to follow as the writer promised...

Kind regards

Demba
