Subject: [WASAN] FW: Conference of African-Serving Organizations

The Africa-America Institute is sponsoring the inaugural conference of
African-serving organization, Wednesday, September 28, 2005, at the Ghana
Mission located at 19 East 47th Street (by Madison Avenue), in Manhattan,
New York City from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.

The primary goal of the conference is to elicit common themes that speak to
the need to build and improve the capacity of the front-line organizations
to increase their effectiveness.  It is expected that this one-half day
conference will result in an acclamation to form a non-competing umbrella
organization - The Federation of African Organizations that will be charged
with the directives that will result from the conference.
