Madam/Sir Astrid Christensen-tasong!

Do me a favor. Perhaps you are not in tune with the
Gambian culture or if you are, probably not fine-tuned
enough. Let me enlighten you a bit.

First, The Gambia is 87% muslim if not higher (that's
a majority vote right there). Although there are
about a few thousand christians and other
denominations, all of these faiths have some amount of
exposure to the religion of Islam. For us to denounce
the message of Allah or stop it from reaching its
believers is HORRIBLE, period! Let's not get carried
too far away by the freedom of speech/expression and
so forth. By the way, whoever said there is freedom
of speech. You are able to do what you're doing
because of Allah or whoever you believe in (if you
have a belief).

A lot of us do use the delete button but I'm sure we
do it with a little sense of guilt inside (instigated
by Satan perhaps). But I'm sure if there is a mosque
in all of our neighborhoods, we'll all dwell to seek
religious knowledge. Most of us including myself,
have already defaulted to Allah since we left our
homeland in search of western knowledge/power and
teachings and forgot our commitments to Allah. For
some of us, we perhaps don't even remember the five
pillars of Islam. The fact of the matter is that we
all wished we can hear those "Njale and Timiss
Nordahs" (to these terms you probably don't
understand).

Be happy this is an online forum and accomodating your
views, but don't steer too far especially in unknown
territory. Remember this saying... and pass it on to
Katim.

"The road to hell is paved with good intentions".

Keep Seeking!

Essa
