THANKS HARUNA.i have taken a couple of pictures although am no expert in taking photos.i am also very careful since the nia syndrome is every were.among taxi drivers, students, every one.but i am careful with my activities.the big man is not as secure as he make it out to be.one funny thing in the gambia which make me laugh all the time is the LOVE OF UNIFORM.you see military uniform ,police, para, custom, and some other funny looking uniforms that i have never seen before.the country is a bunch of uniform lovers.i also show the army execisng in the middle of the main streets singing SONA MARIAMA .can you remember sona mariana song ? .lang tombong himself leading the his men with old folk songs.
our people are very relax.the airport staff are so greedy ,they wish to make every visitor pay for all the small things.i have to pay more than twenty pounds on few cell phones and even text books get charged by customs.
they rumage through my bags ,i have to get angry before they realise it is my job to empty my suit case .every one is asking for some thing .
but over all ,politics aside ,the gambia is still a paradise .i felt tranquil and happy .love to every one.

We wish you all the best suntou and take a bunch of pictures of those
potholes and more. I thought that Sukuta road was resurfaced recently? I think
Yahya should get with MAKharafe and sons or whoever did that work to mitigate
ASAP. Roads generally should have a life-span of 30 years, or in Gambia 15 years
because the contractors cut corners on subgrade material or bitumen emulsions
or concrete strength and re-bars. I understand that if the folk at works and
infrastructure don't have a clue what they are buying or inspect the work of
contractors, such development is untenable and unsustainable. Maybe we
should solicit bids for roads of hay and mud instead of asphalt and concrete. This
is really shameful. And please don't blame it on the rains. Ghana and
senegal experience more extremes of temperature and precipitation than Gambia.

Oh, don't forget to give Yahya my message. If you're not able to see his
motorcade, just give it to baboucarr Jatta for onward transmission.

i am suffering from heavy cold due to the dusty roads and heat.when i
arrived in banjul two weeks ago ,my fear was malaria but then the mosquitos are not
as bad as they are in raining reasoning.
i visited banjul six times but i couldn't see yahya's motor cade once.i show
ousanou darboe opposite islamic bank and the police head quaters on the 5th
on nov with modou manneh.the people are now more and more talking without
fearing too much from the nia men.i hear of the arrest of one mr conta from
sweden last week .i visited radio gambia to see one staff .
the roads are like being in a planet of not were.from west field to sukuta
is all deep holes and cuts every where.
men things are some how bad.but the gambina spirit of ''leave it to god ''
is still alive.
