Malamin,
You are asking for the impossible by requesting List Managers to "provide you
with names and country of resident of all current G-L members". How do you
expect us to know that when it is not a requirement for people to inform us
where they are residing and with so many subscribers at the moment using false
names now a days? It used to be a norm that new subscribers introduce them
selves as soon as they are subscribed to the list before summer 1999 but its a
different story now.

Even though I would like you to append my name as one of the signatories of
the petition, it would be more fair that your team appoints someone or a group of
people to be responsible for the collection of signatures for the Petition. I
am sure there are many with the expertise here who have done such in the past.
List Managers cannot provide you with the list of Gambia-L subscribers. The only
thing I can tell you is that members are spread over all the continents.
Gambia-L is just a Cyber Bantaba (Pencha bi) and it would be distortion of
fact to assume that every subscriber can be a signatory of any e-mail document here.
