TEETH BITE:DARBOE VERY ANGRY WITH NADD, STGDP,MFRDG!!!!
Recently, I have the opportunity to listen to the UDP leader’s interview with The Gambia Post radio. What is clear is that Ousainou Darboe is very, very upset with his NADD’s colleagues. The Dobo son was not happy with the flag bearer selection procee. He said his walk out from NADD was due to lack of trust and consistency by NADD would be flag bearers. He never named names, in his interview, but common sense tells us that he was referring to Halifa Sallah and Waa Juwara.

It was Darboe’s contention that Halifa should not have opted to bid for the flag bearer ship after he initially opted to withdraw his nomination, following the first selection impasse. That Waa too never expressed his interest to lead that coalition up to the eleven hour. There is no doubt that Ousainou is a lawyer and is good at arguing. Coupled with the above reasons, Darboe thought that his decision to part with NADD was justifiable.
Darboe would have succeeded to built up a good case against his colleagues, if he had stayed until the completion of the selection process. The arguments he gave during The Gambia Post interview could have been channeled through NADD and its leaders to brainstorm over it. Walking out from NADD, will only give the enemy Jammeh to misrule our country.
One thing I understand from Darboe’s interview is that, he is not closing his doors to NADD, but with condition that if they are willing to serve as back benchers. That whoever wants to join the NRP/UDP alliance should be ready to accept Darboe and Bah as their leader. He also promised not to overstay in power. That the time limit set for the transitional government should be respected. As we heard, Darboe is the alliance President, while Hamat is being called VP by party militants. Interesting times.
Halifa and co should listen to Darboe’s interview. The man is not happy with them at all. Darboe believes that these folks are unfair to The Gambian voters. That their failure to honour their promises to Gambians was an act of betrayal, even though he Darboe was linked to betrayal schemes.
Mr. Darboe also complained about the registration of NADD as a political party. He says NADD was an alliance of political parties and not a single party. Halifa and co should again explain about this betrayal claim made by Darboe. This will no doubt affect NADD, if the said allegations are taken seriously by our electorates.
  DARBOE LAMBAST STGDP
The UDP leader also spit at The US based Save The Gambia Development Project, STGDP. He said his party was done with the said group. It was Darboe’s contention that the pro democracy organization should remained neutral in its participation in Gambian politics and not take sides. To his surprise, Darboe went on the organization decided to issue a statement saying that they will continue to sponsor NADD and not his party since he walked out from NADD. Well Ousainou is very bitter and says he doesn’t want STGDP’s dime. Akoalyalakodomabuday. Amangsulala. Meaning he doesn’t need their money and urges the organization to keep its funds.
Well Kebba Foon’s tribal accusations against Darboe and the UDP seems to have angered the politician. He said responding to Foon means giving him some degree of importance. The Dubo son said he will not waste his time on Foon and his party had make up his mind on STGDP.
UK’S MOVEMENT FOR DEMOCRACY BAHOUM ALSO FAULTED BY DARBOE
You see, Darboe’s attacks on these pro democracy groups had been extended to the United Kingdom. He also said his party was done with the UK Movement For the Restoration of Democracy in The Gambia. He singles out Mr. Bahoum, who he describes as a relative of OJ. Darboe doubted Bahoum’s independence, as he Bahoum might be confronted with conflict of interest, in view of his close ties with OJ. He said the UK Movement are pro NADD and had sidelined the UPD/NRP alliance.
None of these organizations reacted to Darboe’s allegations. The man’s allegations will certainly past the test of time if left unchallenged.
