The situation remains the same as at 12:45 GMT. The soldiers have added to
the list of grievances the promised CFA 6 million each for the leaders of
the December coup which, according to their spokesman, has yet to be paid to
them. Calm continues to prevail except occasional sounds of gun fire from
passing army vehicles, including private cars commandeered by soldiers.
Unconfirmed reports say that General Guei is now in the Gendermerie
Headquarters.
