But highly placed sources in the army say the said Pakistanis agents were assigned by the President to investigate top army officers suspected of trying to overthrow his government. "The said agents are seen within the state house and in some army barracks" said our sources. According to our sources, The Gambian leader seem to distrust some senior officers within the army had suspended his future overseas trips, until such a time that normalcy returns in the army.

Our correspondent say the presence of the said foreign security agents in the country, is worrying Gambians and soldiers. The detained former army chief , has not been charged yet, but sources say the government had lined up some soldiers within the military to be arrested in days to come.
