Oko,

Ous says you have to eulogize him - I agree. What I wrote was from the
heart. I grew up under their watch. These men were trendsetters from
weight lifting programs to forming a band using instruments that the likes
of Chukel Baas put together themselves. They used to play Saturday
evenings, James Brown tunes, especially. I am having regrets for my lack of
forethought/foresight about documenting their accomplishments but I realize
that it is not too late.

Ams, Tunku was much younger and although many of the guys hung out at the
'pabeh', he was not of their group.

Anmaa amaadaa ibinyi ahndaa amaa unamoo indabi idonli ewheh ichi ohbigoh -
direct translation to mean I am going home so as to document some of what's
taken place in our neighborhood. From the boat builders, to Mbaari Boss,
and the myths/stories of the 'madam' at the wharf. Rich stuff.

Soffie
