I hope you did not forward this article to prove a point. The
views expressed in this interview reflects how most on the L
felt from the onset. While most of us yearned for a total
alliance between the political parties, some of us secretly
harboured what they wanted for the opposition and who should
lead. PPP phobics like yourself were lurking in the dark waiting
for them to take any decision. I am sure if the PPP had
decided to go solo, the bashing and insults would have been
immense.

As someone rightly pointed out, the outcome of the alliance is
a direct reflection of us Gambians. While some are in it for
the betterment of the Gambia, others are power hungry bigots who
will not settle for less and yet others are in it to settle
personal scores.

With time, I have come to realize that there are some of us
on the L who are using this forum to settle personal scores
but masquerade as decent Gambians whose only concern is to
restore sanity to our country. The more such people whine, the
more they expose their true identity and reasons for endorsing
Jammeh or hating him and loving or hating Jawara. As long as
we continue to put our personal issues before the national
issues, we shall have a split among ourselves even wherewe will
be better off in uniting.

There is a Hadith which says" actions are but by intention.
Every man shall have but what he intended.....". May God guide
us through these and all times.
