I followed this case with keen interest not because i smoke, but because i
was interested in seeing what will will happen to the big tobacco
industries. This afternoon a jury in Florida awarded $145 BILLION in punitive
damages to plaintiffs in Florida aganist big tobacco production companies,
who for many decades has produced a product that is not only defective but
has caused many deadly diseases. The trial lasted for 2 years. Attorney's for
Phillip Morris, one of the biggest tobacco production companies said paying
such an astronomical ammount of money will put the big tobacco producing
companies out of business. So what? It will only save lives.
God Bless and Peace Be Upon All
Alasana Bab
