KUKOI SAMBA SANYANG SPEAKS FIRE, AS HE CALLS FOR THE OVER THROW OF THE
JAMMEH GOV'T, WHILE CONDEMNING THE ARREST OF NADD OFFICIALS
By AllGambian

November 19, 2005
The man said to be the main master minder of Gambia's bloody 1981 foiled
rebellion Kukoi Samba Sanyang, has emerged once again, this time with a
call to over throw the administration of President Yahya Jammeh. Kukoi who
is the leader and Secretary General of the African Democratic Congress
Movement reaffirmed his determination to topple the Jammeh government.
Believed to be currently residing in Dubai, Kukoi called on his followers
to remain steadfast, as he vowed to take arms against the Ruling APRC
regime.

"We of the ADC call for the uncompromising overthrow of dictator Jammeh by
waging a bitter struggle in launching series of political militant
activities designed to combat the menace of Jammeh's political rage." said
Mr. Sanyang, who is also linked to the Farafenni Army barrack attacks,
which left a good number of Gambian soldiers dead and maimed.

While accusing President Jammeh of terrorism activities and dictatorship,
Kukoi also joined the world in condemning what he called the illegal
arrest of NADD officials.

"On behalf of the Gambian people, the entire ADC leadership, freedom
fighters, human rights activists, ADC militants, supporters and our
sympathisizers I hereby add my militant voice to that of concerned Gambian
citizens for the immediate and unconditional release of our political
leaders and we vehemently condemn with unequivocal terms the criminal,
unwarranted, unjustified, unlawful and unaccepted arrest of Khalifa
Sallah, Omar Jallow (OJ) and Hamat Bah."

Kukoi was also not easy with the international community, as he blames
them for being insensitive to Gambian plights. The Libyan trained
revolutionary charged that despite Gambians are suffering under Yahya
Jammeh's dictatorial regime, the world is watching by.

"It is a shame that with the culture of silence, freedom loving and
democratic countries paying a deaf ear to Gambians crying for freedom and
justice and turning a blind eye to Jammeh's authoritarianism and criminal
acts aiming to kill democracy is viewed by we Gambians as a conspiracy to
weaken Gambians for in reality Jammeh cannot keep the Gambia in order."
Said Kukoi in a letter

Below is the full text of Kukoi Samba Sanyang's open letter to Gambians.

IS JAMMEH'S DEMOCRACY THE SILVER BULLET?
It is very amazing that all around the civilized world with the exception
of the Gambia, the old order is fast weakening, that of authoritarianism,
repressive states and criminal heads of states are walling off from
modernity.

A new order is rising, with democracy stirring in all countries, mass
demonstrations are pushing heartless criminal Presidents to commit
themselves to open political systems. In the Gambia with terrorist
President Yaya Jammeh's self-tailored democracy Gambians are in no way
secured, free and safe.

We are living in an anti-democratic country ruled by a brutal senseless
dictator and we feel we are about to reach breaking point.

The repeated and frequent abuses of human rights, unlawful arrests and
detentions without fair trials, murders and brutal killings of innocent
citizens with impunity is evidence of Jammeh's regime seeming to get ever
more oppressive and inhumane by each day.

With Jammeh's junta regime for Gambians feeling secured and safe is a
nightmare. With the shameful criminal arrest of Gambia's honorable
political leaders, freedom fighters and human rights defenders Mr.Khalifa
Sallah, Omar Jallow (OJ) and Hamat Bah is clear proof of how President
Jammeh is guilty of misusing his authority to satisfy his taste of
violence, oppression, exploitation and to benefit his interest which has
caused so much socio-politico-economic damage to the entire Gambian
nation.

Jammeh's heavy-handed pursuit of Gambia's respectful political leaders out
of jealousy and malice has shattered all principles and fundamentals of
democracy and undermined the confidence that so-called modern Gambia under
Dr.Jammeh is a safe place for investors to do business.

The recent arrest of our political leaders is a clear manifestation of
Jammeh's desire and evil reasons to kill democracy in the Gambia.
President Jammeh is finding a way to legalize state-terrorism because the
spread of freedom, justice and democracy is draining the frustration and
rage on which Jammeh's state-terrorism feeds.

Our political leaders arrest is proof that the barrier of fear is
beginning to break down paving the way for Jammeh's overthrow with the
coming 2006 general elections or the people arising to demand their
rights.

To deal a final crushing blow to Jammeh's dictatorship there is need for a
combination of outside pressure and internal shifts to forge a strong
merger creating a unique moment.

Gambians should be aware that the state terrorism and the state-sponsored
violence in the Gambia helps sustain Jammeh's dreams and evil ideas of why
not he too to be in power like the founding father of the Gambian nation
Sir Dawuda Kairaba Jawara for (30) thirty years.

It is a shame that with the culture of silence, freedom loving and
democratic countries paying a deaf ear to Gambians crying for freedom and
justice and turning a blind eye to Jammeh's authoritarianism and criminal
acts aiming to kill democracy is viewed by we Gambians as a conspiracy to
weaken Gambians for in reality Jammeh cannot keep the Gambia in order.

Oh fellows Gambians are we going to continue to talk to a person like
President Jammeh who has forgotten how to listen.

However to rescue sinking Gambia and redeem Gambians designed to calm the
frayed nerves of all oppressed and exploited Gambians could seem be at
hand with the unfolding and uncompromising struggle of the people.

We should end this sad situation of political rage and political
witch-hunting and we should not lose our heads over some small distracting
issues that are not important created by criminal Jammeh. On behalf of the
Gambian people, the entire ADC leadership, freedom fighters, human rights
activists, ADC militants, supporters and our sympathisizers I hereby add
my militant voice to that of concerned Gambian citizens for the immediate
and unconditional release of our political leaders and we vehemently
condemn with unequivocal terms the criminal, unwarranted, unjustified,
unlawful and unaccepted arrest of Khalifa Sallah, Omar Jallow (OJ) and
Hamat Bah.

We of the ADC call for the uncompromising overthrow of dictator Jammeh by
waging a bitter struggle in launching series of political militant
activities designed to combat the menace of Jammeh's political rage.

ADC in its struggle is targeting the evil root of evil in the Gambia. We
call for the downtrodden and the deprived to arise like a giant and
struggle to liberate themselves.

This is to end the amount of political crime rate going up and end the
criminal state-terrorism by the Jammeh junta regime.

KOUKOIE SAMBA SANYANG
Leader and Secretary General of the
AFRICAN DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS
