Hamjatta,

You are absolutely right. Tyranny in the Gambia has reached a critical
mass, and if left on its own momentum will obviously lead to anarchy.
Gambians are at a crossroad now. It is not enough for mainstream politicians
to play the loyal opposition to a government that constantly violate the
peoples right to decency and treat even a flawed constitution with
disrepect. The Gambian people are yearning for a leadership that can
galvanize and represent their moral will to flush evil from their
motherland, restore legitimacy and their God given rights as human beings.
The talking is enough. Jammeh will continue to do what he knows best from
scandal to scandal everyday. It is time for the Opposition to realize that
they are faced with a common enemy of the Gambian people in the form of Yaya
Jammeh and NOT what will seem an obvious policy difference with APRC in a
standard democracy.
I can guarantee you that Jammeh will never never accept defeat in any
elections. You will be wasting your time and effort in believing in such a
dream. I sincerely wish that the political leadership will accept this
simple fact. It is prime time for the Opposition UDP, PDOIS and NRP to step
forward with a united agenda for change. They should reach out to all civil
societies and challenge the Dictatorship with one unequivocal platform to
restore legitimacy in the Gambia. This is no time for politics as usual but
revolution time. The opposition should demonstrate to the whole world that
they are against immorality and indecency not only in words but with
political action. Organize civil disobedience, agitate in the streets
against human rights abuses and instigate SOPI across the general
population. We are all done talking about Jammeh this Jammeh that from dawn
till dusk. It is time to Organize, Agitate, and Instigate for change. The
people only need the moral will of their leadership, Ousanou Darboe, Halifa
Sallah and Hamat Bah to guide them through this process. If not, mark my
words, the Gambian people shall succumb to any kind of leadership for better
or worst- remember July 1981 and 1994...Kukois, Junkung Jemuses, the Simon
Talibos and the rest...
