I am glad that people are beginning to see the face
behind the mask of this Nying/jobe character. I gave
up on him long ago; when, during the height of the
hajj debacle, he quickly and dubiously forwarded an
article from one of the dailies, and tried show that
had the Jammeh government been allowed to control the
the business of Hajj, the problem may not have
occurred.

When I told him plain and simple, that this year's
hajj problems are precisely because of Jammeh's
imposition of his new millennium company on tour
operators, he declares himself baffled, and said the
issue should not be politicised.

Then I realised I was dealing with the archetypal
hypocrite as depicted in Prince's seminal article on
the subject. Look at the way he describes almost
everybody as either angry or extremist; implying
himself to be the voice of moderation.

Continue to be like this, until the day Yaya turns his
guns on either yourself, or one or all your four
children, and you will know why so many people are so
angry with this regime, despite the so called projects
you list as mitigation for the criminal acts being
perpetrated on the Gambian people.
